cartridge detection sensor for Brother MFC- J430W J625DW J825DW J6710DW J6910DW

this part is only for the engineer who have many experience in maintenance service

if you are a end user and don't have any experience, pls don't buy it. thank you!

1, Your buying: 6 pcs of this sensor components, use on ink cartridge detection only

note: MFC-J430W J625DW J825 J6710 J6910 J5910 can use it on upper/bottom module.

other brother inkjet printers only can use it on upper module.

***pls check below description on the sensors of cartridge base.

2, description of cartridge base and sensor modules:

(1)normally, the cartridge base of brother printer is similar as below picture.

(a) upper module, ink cartridge detection sensor, have 4 pcs of sensor component,

to detect /recognize ink cartridge

(all brother inkject printer can use this sensor component)

(c) bottom module, ink cartridge detection sensor, have 4 pcs of sensor component,

to detect /recognize ink cartridge

(note: only MFC-J430W J625DW J825 J6710 J6910 J5910 have bottom module, and can use this sensor component)

(b) middle module, ink remaining sensor, have 4 pcs of sensor component,

to detect ink level only (note: my sensor component can't match this part)

(2)how to check the sensor component is working well or not.

(note: pls use compatible ink cartridge to check, the original/OEM can't use this way)

(A) if error on LCD: No Ink Cartridge Black, install the C/M/Y cartridge to the black,

if printer still can't recognize,

that means the uppper/bottom sensor on black position might be bad.

replace these two components with new one, it will be ok.

(B) if error on LCD: No Ink Cartridge Cyan, install the M/Y cartridge to the Cyan,

if printer still can't recognize,

that means the uppper/bottom sensor on Cyan position might be bad.

replace these two components, it will be ok.

another way to check:

press key quickly: menu, * , 2, 8, 6, 4, then enter maintenance service

then press 3, 2 (to check the sensors), it will show the error code,

 2A (black), 2B (yellow), 2C (cyan), 2D(maganta),

that means ink cartridge detection sensor components might be defective.

20 (black), 21 (yellow), 22 (cyan), 23(maganta)

ink cartridge detection sensor components might be defective

or ink remaining sensor compontes might be defective.

(c) but we still need a further test if you have opened the printer.

the contacts between pin of component of sensor PCB and the mainboard are all ok or not.

(if the pipe line and the pins loose contact, it will cause same problem)

4, note for maintenance.

(a) this component have direction, pls don't make any mistake on it.

(b) pls fix this component in short time.

(c) after fixing this component, pls use multi-meter to check copper wire.

(d) if the copper is bad, pls use wire to connect them directly.
